TEAM DEVELOPMENT TRAINING CAMP
This camp isn't an exercise in how fast someone can navigate through a maze with one leg tied to a co-worker, or some other embarrassing activity; but rather it's a human process intervention with the focus on team/organizational goals--a well-defined learning experience for changing people's attitudes and behaviors. It is designed to have a positive effect on the essential interpersonal dynamics of an organization's workforce that influence growth and success. And, yes, participants genuinely have fun.
This camp mirrors the problems and behaviors participants live with in the workplace every day. Its primary purpose is to create a climate of trust, cooperation, and openness among a group of people, to promote a greater sense of unity and cohesiveness that will enable a team to function together more smoothly and effectively. Interrelationships between teams within an organization are also developed so that team members learn to value and respect all contributions, leading to improved efficiency and productivity.
Participants learn valuable communication skills and how to accommodate and complement one another. They learn to "listen" to each other, and come to understand that their input is not as great alone as it is when blended with others; and by working together their own contribution can be expanded, the team can have increased effectiveness, and everyone wins. Success comes from teamwork; from working together toward the same clear goals—the team/organizational goals. When team members develop the positive attitude that they can succeed, they are more likely to do so.
Our facilitators are experienced team builders and have worked with people from diverse organizational levels and with an assortment of attitudes. Developing a team-motivated culture is a purposeful act, one that requires purposeful effort. Facilitators work with team/organization leaders to enable this process. In so doing, a pre-camp BDP Assessment™ is conducted to align the learning and organizational goals, and to establish realistic expectations.
An organization's success cannot be achieved without excellent communication among its people. The investment in team development now can avoid costly mistakes caused by lack of communication in the long-run. Commitment to a team atmosphere results in a high-performance organization. The bottom line: teamwork is the performance driver for organizational improvement and growth.
